Ellen Baumgartner and her husband, Jim, live in Minnesota. They raised three children and have 9 grandchildren. She has published thee books. Ellen grew up in rural North Dakota, has served in the North Dakota Humanities counsel for eight years, was the ND State Medical Alliance President, has worked in many volunteer capacities in her local church and communities in ND and MN. She has a small business, Renewing the Heart. Her greatest joy is gathering together with her children and grandchildren.
The Gift
The children's book, "The Gift", was written by Ellen Baumgartner and illustrated by her son Joel Baumgartner. It is a heart warming story about the true meaning of Christmas. The tale begins with a 5 year old involved in the usual preparations during the holiday season with her family. It is an 8 1/2'' x 11" hard back book in beautiful color, wonderfully illustrated on shiny high quality paper with 40 pages.
